Few more pics

My camera ham!!! ALWAYS posing.
They really DO get along but don't ask them to admit it. lol

Me at the park yesterday, so my hubby won't complain and whine b/c my picture isn't in this post. Love you dear!!! More now than 18 years ago!!!

ATTEN......HUT!! My camo guy, posing for the camera.

Braids for bedtime. Rebekkah's hair is so fine AND long that is tangles terribly so I did this so morning brushing is not such a chore AND screamfest(her not me)
OK, just a few more shots to reel people in. The kids are all headed to church tonight, grandma let Em borrow her car so they could get there. I am home tending to my sick hubby, ok right now he is resting in bed while I am on the computer, he has that nasty upper respiratory junk that is going around. Not a good thing for someone who is high risk, cardiac/pulmonary, so I am babying him(role reversal) this time. I am so blessed to be able to take care of him!!!!

William, walking and enjoying the sun and 60+ temps.

Well, yes, it is February in KC, ok EVERYWHERE, but you'll never guess what we did this afternoon. I will let the pictures speak for me. OK, I was there but only one shot of me and well, I am not heartbroken it didn't make it to the blog. ;-P Anyway, I got off at noon today(I get to work on Saturday) and it was beautiful and so we headed out to get some Vitamin D and fresh air. Wonderful way to hang with the kids and hubby. Making it even nicer is the fact that if I wasn't working this Saturday we could not have done this, it is gonna be cold and possibly doing that nasty four letter "S" word, you know.......snowing!!! Hey this is KC if ya don't like the weather we're having hang around a day or two, it'll change!!!

Lazy Saturday

My kind of day, ahhhhhhh, so nice. William and I are starting a new minstry, a bookstore, at church tomorrow and met with Pastor Kevin this morning. Got the bookstore stocked and ready to roll for tomorrow. Ok so it sounds like a cliche but it really will roll, it a wooden cabinet on wheels, pretty awesome. We have been working on getting this together for a couple of months. We are excited to get it going. We both serve in many other areas of ministry but wanted something to do together so this was an opportunity we couldn't pass us. Please pray for us as we prepare to get information in people's hands, spreading Christian words to not only people in church but to the community. I love being in a country that I am not afraid to sit at the feet of God to worship and praise Him *and* be able to spread His word to everyone I come into contact with.

After going to the church we all headed to the eye doctor's office. Nathaniel's glasses broke, for the second time since August, just before we went to TX . We put off taking them in until we got back and then they just got back on Thursday. We all went though because all six pairs needed some kind of adjustment. Noah's were stretched and crooked, I thought that since he has been wearing them since he was 3.5 that he would be easier on them by 10 but not so. Emerald's were missing a nose piece, she lost it in TX, don't ask ME how because I have NO idea. I am just the momma :-D Mine needed tightening behind the ears, William's were crooked(happens when you fall asleep wearing them) and lastly Rebekkah just felt left out(her's weren't bad at all) and said she needed her nose pieces adjusted. So we are all six in business and can see clearly now. I am trying to give my eyes a day without contacts, I believe they need that every so often.

Then it was off to Walmart for a few last things for the bookstore, price tags, etc), the $1 store for Em to find something and to the grocery store for marshmallows for hot cocoa(tastes better this way) and then home. Home is where I intend to spend the rest of my day, trying to stay warm!!! Yesterday was near 60 and today is in the 20's. I am done with winter and ready for spring and summer. I love warm weather!!! Guess I will have to bide my time here in the cold for this week though, it is supposed to get to below freezing later this week and highs in the 10's blech!!!

Ever since I got home I have been under blankets and just hanging out. Spending time on the computer and talking to the kids. Well, until a little bit ago when I shut the office door, three tv's are on and I can't handle all the noise that three different programs make. Makes me wish we only had one tv sometimes, *sigh*, oh well life goes on.

Ok, enough babbling from here. I am off to nap(hopefully the kids will cooperate, even at their ages they have to ask important stuff like.....Mom, is it Saturday?? and Mom, what are you doing lying in your bed?? and Can I get a drink??) You know all the important stuff they can't possible ask daddy, because he is awake and watching a John Wayne movie on tv. I guess that stuff never ends. Oops, here is Rebekkah needing love since she hurt her finger so I better go put on my nurse and counselor hat.

Just wanted to wish all our family and friends a very happy and safe new year. The kids are at m y youngest stepsister's with all of their cousins on my side, nine all total. Connie does this annually and the kids love it!!! William and I went out to dinner and then came home. I prefer to be in away from all the drunken fools out on the road. I will most likely be asleep before 2009 rolls around. I guess I am a party pooper but I just don't care about seeing midnight *any* night. lol Maybe I am getting too old, naaahh!! Here are a few more pics from Christmas too!!! Enjoy, off to spend time with William for a while.

William, Christmas morning, playing with Nathaniel's 3-D glasses!! Nice look babe XOXO

FINALLY on the plane 11:00PM for our 6:10PM flight!! :-/

Boys at 11:00PM, tired and anxious!!! ;-P

Well, after an event filled six days, we are home and slowly settling in. As I mentioned before we had a five hour delay due to bad weather in Chicago. All in all we were there about eitght hours due to iffy weather here we arrived early. We truly enojyed our visit, 80+ on Christmas and most of our visit was wonderful, albeit odd for we Missourians. We had temps of -4 last week on Monday before we left, then 80's in TX and now back to reality. Today was 40's when we got back home, not too shabby for December in MO.

We stayed the first night with William's brother, then drove to his parents on Wednesday. Visited his Granny in the nursing home and with his dad when he got back from the hospital. William's mom came home from the hospital on Friday, although we went to visit her on Christmas day. We are thankful that they got her white blood count back up, it was zero when she went in. She was feeling much better when we left yesterday morning. We then returned to his brother's yesterday ang my sister drove to take us to her house. She recently moved to TX and we were glad to see her too. My niece's and nephew's are here in KC with their dad so we missed them there but they will come to see us on Tuesday afternoon and spend the night.

I will add a few pics of our trip for anyone interested in seeing them.
